Angie Grams in her own words… “Classic and romantic”
To this talented Colombian born haute couture designer, creating wedding gowns and evening wear is both a passion and fulfillment of a lifelong dream. Since her early child hood, there is nothing that Angie desired more than to create and sew beautiful dresses. At a very young age, Angie began sewing for family and friends, as she comes from a three generation family of fashion designers. Upon finishing high school, Angie was accepted into Taller Cinco Centro de Desño en Bogota, Colombia where she honed her craft and eye in haute couture. After excelling in design school, Angie went on to study and master the art of pattern making.
After five years in Bogota, Angie moved to her home town of Barranquilla where she thrived in the haute couture business with her family for a number of years. One of her specialties at that time was creating romantic bridal sleep wear, which continues to today.
Thereafter, Angie embarked on new adventures with moving to the hot fashion world of Miami. In Miami, for over five years her client list grew while she brought in only the best fabrics from New York. It was in Miami that Angie worked on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, which is a brides dream in shopping for that perfect bridal dress. Not only did Angie bring dreams to life with her gorgeous wedding dresses, she made captivating bustiers that were the talk of the town.
Now in Texas for the last five years Angie continues with providing classic designs to exclusive discriminating clients from Dallas, Preston Hollow, Highland Park, and recently the Valley, while she’s maintains close ties to her original clients in Miami. Today, Angie’s genre also includes enchanting evening wear and cocktail dresses for those wanting to make that special entrance.
Angie’s gowns shimmer and glisten in understatement, as the embroidery, crystal beading and delicate French lace are all used with refined restraint. Her style is pure and minimalist. The quality of the fabrics she selects is never compromised, and never loses focus or sight that her designs are not intended to overshadow, but to enhance the natural beauty and individual style of the person wearing them. Her love and passion for what she does are reflected in each and every one of her designs. It is perhaps with the same feeling of love and passion for romance… somehow making its way into each measured stitch, that makes all her brides-to-be or Quinceañeras radiate beauty and glow with joy on their special day.
